What We Fund

Collections (Digital & Physical)
Friends funding supports the magazine, audiobook, and adult book collections. The Friends also contribute to databases and eContent, which continue to increase in popularity.

Adult Programming
The Friends support many of the library's in-person author talks as well as the virtual author talk series through a subscription to the Library Speakers Consortium. In 2024, Friends funding also helped relaunch the Seed Library and host a variety of other programs, including poetry workshops, gardening and fermentation classes.

Children's Programming
The Friends support the production of physical materials for the Summer Reading Program, including the printing of flyers, reading logs, and bookmarks.

Staff Development
The Friends helped fund an All-Staff Development Day in October 2023. Full time staff made individual presentations about their areas of responsibility. Friends funding supported additional staff development throughout the year and we are thrilled to support the continued growth of our amazing library staff members.

Wi-Fi on the Plaza
The Friends and the Foundation jointly fund the free wi-fi connection available on the plaza between the Gravity Car and the Lytton Square median.
