About The Friends
Imagine a library that's buzzing with exciting programs, filled with the latest technology, and always ready to connect our community. Since 1967, that is what the Friends of the Mill Valley Public Library are working towards, having donated over $2.5 million to date! We are a passionate group of neighbors, friends, and bookworms who believe in the power of our library. By working together, we ensure our library can offer incredible services that go beyond its regular budget, keeping it a vibrant and cherished community hub.
The Mission of the Friends of the Mill Public Library is to support the Mill Valley Public Library so that it may enhance its literary, educational, technological, community and cultural services. To accomplish our mission, the Friends of the Mill Valley Public Library, a 100% volunteer organization:
- Engages in fundraising by means of annual and lifetime membership; and the sale of donated used books.
- Promotes community volunteer activism in support of the Mill Valley Public Library.
The dedication of the Friends allows the Mill Valley Public Library to offer services otherwise beyond its city funding, and helps assure our Library's continuing excellence.
